Government WordPress Management
From $699/month
Structured WordPress management for government and public sector organisations that need stronger controls, clearer documentation, and a more disciplined process than standard commercial plans provide.
Built on real experience managing WordPress installations in government environments where security expectations are higher, documentation matters, and operational discipline is non-negotiable.
Who Government Is For
Government and public sector websites often serve a very different role from commercial websites. They may publish public information, support public-facing services, collect citizen enquiries, or act as communication platforms during high-visibility events.
That means the cost of failure is different too. A plugin conflict that breaks a private brochure site is frustrating. A failure on a public sector website can affect trust, public communication, internal accountability, and stakeholder confidence.
That is why government WordPress management needs more than routine maintenance. It needs structure, documentation, defined escalation, and a security posture that is actively managed — not assumed.
This plan is designed for:
- Government agencies managing public-facing websites
- Public sector organisations requiring formal documentation
- Ministries and departments with accountability requirements
- Local government and municipal websites
- Public service portals and information sites
- Agencies requiring compliance-aware service delivery
- Organisations where downtime affects public trust
- Teams that need structured communication and reporting
Our Approach:
Our team has worked on WordPress environments used by government agencies, where changes are tested before deployment, risks are documented rather than guessed, incident response is defined in advance, access and permissions are treated seriously, and reporting is written for real stakeholders, not just developers.
We don’t overstate this background. What matters is the outcome: a more rigorous, more accountable way of managing WordPress.
What's Included in Government
Staging-Tested Plugin, Theme & Core Updates
Every WordPress core, plugin, and theme update is tested in a staging environment before it reaches your live site. For government websites, this is especially important: stability matters just as much as patching. Updates follow a weekly managed cycle with staging-first deployment, controlled release to your live site, and rollback capability if something goes wrong. Critical security patches are handled urgently outside the regular schedule.
Daily Encrypted Offsite Backups
Your website and database are backed up every day and stored independently of your hosting provider. Backups are encrypted in transit and at rest, and the recovery process is documented and tested so restoration can be handled in a controlled, accountable way. Storage is redundant, and restore procedures are defined by plan or agreement. Restore target for this plan: Within 6 hours.
Advanced Security Hardening & Monitoring
Government includes a stronger security framework than commercial plans. We implement and manage Web Application Firewall configuration, malware scanning, login protection, file permission hardening, admin area protection, XML-RPC hardening, security event tracking, and brute force protection. On higher-sensitivity sites, this extends to file integrity monitoring, security header implementation, and structured incident reporting suitable for internal review.
60-Second Uptime Monitoring
Your site is checked every 60 seconds using external monitoring independent of your hosting provider. If it becomes unreachable, we’re alerted immediately and begin investigating root causes, coordinating with your hosting provider where needed. Monthly uptime reports give you visibility into performance trends. You should not be the first person to discover your website is down.
Structured Documentation & Reporting
This is one of the biggest differences between standard commercial management and government-oriented service delivery. Every month, you receive a detailed report covering updates applied, backup status, uptime performance, security events, premium licence issues (if any), incident summaries where relevant, and structured recommendations when risks are identified. This is not a generic auto-generated summary — it is written for real stakeholders and designed to support internal accountability.
Quarterly Security Posture Review
Every quarter, we conduct a structured review of your site’s security configuration, identifying changes in risk exposure, plugin vulnerabilities, hardening opportunities, and access management. This review is documented and includes actionable recommendations.
Enhanced Escalation Handling
When something goes wrong, we follow defined escalation procedures. Incidents are documented, root causes are investigated, and written summaries are provided where needed. For critical issues, response is immediate and coordinated with your hosting provider or internal teams.
Email, Live Chat & WhatsApp Support
All support is handled through documented channels — email, live chat, and WhatsApp where appropriate. This creates a clear communication trail and avoids the ambiguity of phone-only support. For government clients, this documented approach is often a benefit rather than a limitation. You’ll always know what was requested, what was done, and what’s still pending.
Response SLA: 6 hours
What's Different from Commercial Plans
Government is built on the same technical foundation as our Premium plan, but with stronger emphasis on documentation, accountability, and process discipline.
What makes Government different:
- Stronger documentation and reporting standards
- Compliance-aware service delivery Quarterly security posture reviews (not just monitoring)
- Enhanced escalation handling with written summaries
- Structured communication designed for internal review
- Support for procurement and governance processes
- Custom agreement options for multi-site environments
- More formal incident reporting
- Process designed to support accountability, not just uptime
If your organisation does not require formal documentation, structured reporting, or compliance-aware processes, Premium may be sufficient. If you need performance optimisation for WooCommerce or active SEO monitoring, compare Business and Premium.
Important Notes Before You Start
Your Site Still Needs to Meet Baseline Standards
Government websites still need to meet a management baseline before ongoing management begins properly. If a site is running on outdated WordPress, old PHP, abandoned plugins, expired premium licences, or weak hosting, we address that first through remediation or a structured onboarding plan.
We do not treat public sector sites as exceptions to technical reality. In fact, we hold them to a higher standard.
If foundational work is needed, we’ll scope it clearly and include it in the transition plan.
Premium Software Licences Stay With You
If your site uses paid themes or plugins, you remain responsible for those licences. We can only apply updates where valid licence keys, marketplace access, or updated files are available. If a licence is expired, we’ll notify you and flag it in your monthly report.
A Process That Fits Public Sector Teams
We understand that government and public sector teams often need more than technical delivery. They also need clarity, documentation, and a service provider that can work in a structured way.
Our approach is designed to support that: clear scope of work, documented communication, written reporting, predictable service structure, no vague “we’ll handle it” promises, and a process that can be reviewed internally.
We are based in Singapore and work with clients internationally, including organisations in markets where security expectations and documentation standards are high.
Multi-Site & Custom Arrangements
Some public sector organisations manage a single website. Others manage a portfolio of campaign sites, programme microsites, or departmental websites.
Where needed, we can structure a custom arrangement around multiple WordPress sites under one agreement, consolidated reporting, custom response expectations, defined approval workflows, more formal escalation structures, and procurement-friendly billing arrangements.
If your requirements don’t fit a standard monthly plan, we can scope a structure that does. Custom engagements are assessed individually and priced based on site count, complexity, and service expectations.
