WordPress Essentials — Core Protection for Websites That Matter

$79/month

Essentials WordPress management gives smaller websites reliable updates, daily backups, and core protection without the complexity of higher-tier plans. It is designed for businesses that need dependable WordPress care at a simpler service level.

Who Essentials Is For

Essentials is designed for websites that still matter to your business, but don’t need the heavier management, performance optimisation, or advanced security controls included in our higher plans.

This typically includes:

  • Small brochure websites
  • Personal brand websites
  • Portfolio sites
  • Blogs and content sites
  • Early-stage business websites
  • Freelancers and solopreneurs
  • Organisations that want core protection without a full management retainer

If your website generates significant revenue, handles customer data, runs WooCommerce, or needs stronger response times, you’ll likely be better served by Professional or Business.

What's Included in Essentials

Weekly Plugin, Theme & Core Updates

We review and apply WordPress core, plugin, and theme updates on a weekly cycle. This helps keep your site current and reduces exposure to known vulnerabilities.

Daily Automated Backups

Your full website and database are backed up every 24 hours. These backups are stored independently of your hosting provider so you’re not relying on your host as your only recovery option.

Security Monitoring

We monitor your site for common threats, malware indicators, and suspicious login activity. Basic firewall protection and standard security controls are included.

Malware Scanning

Your site is scanned regularly for malicious code and known signs of compromise. If something suspicious appears, we investigate and take appropriate action.

5-Minute Uptime Monitoring

Your website is checked every 5 minutes using external monitoring. If it becomes unreachable, we’re alerted and can investigate.

Monthly Health Summary

You receive a simple monthly summary showing what was updated, your backup status, uptime status, and any notable issues or recommendations.

1 Content Update Per Month

Need a small change? Essentials includes one simple content update per month, such as changing text, swapping an image, or updating contact details.

Email Support

Support is handled through email with a 72-hour response SLA. Every request is documented and tracked.

What Essentials Does Not Include

Essentials is intentionally focused on core protection. It does not include the deeper management, optimisation, or advanced security controls found in our higher plans.

  • Staging-tested updates
  • Visual regression testing
  • Speed and performance optimisation
  • Core Web Vitals tuning
  • CDN setup and management
  • Database optimisation
  • SEO monitoring
  • File integrity monitoring
  • Security header implementation
  • Plugin vetting against vulnerability databases
  • User access audits
  • Priority response times
  • Dedicated account management
  • WooCommerce support

If you need any of the above, compare our Professional, Business, and Premium plans.

Important Notes Before You Start

Your Site Still Needs to Be Ready for Management

Essentials is a maintenance plan, not a rescue plan. If your site is significantly outdated, compromised, using pirated software, or running on old infrastructure, it may need remediation before ongoing management can begin properly.

If that’s the case, we’ll tell you clearly during your assessment.

Premium Software Licences Stay With You

If your site uses paid themes or plugins, you remain responsible for those licences. We can only apply updates where valid licence keys, marketplace access, or updated files are available.

If a licence is expired, we’ll notify you and flag it in your monthly reporting.

Essentials Covers Smaller Sites with Lower Complexity

Essentials is ideal for websites that need core protection, not full operational support. If your site is business-critical, high-traffic, or more complex, we recommend moving up to Professional or Business for stronger monitoring, staging, and faster support.

When to Upgrade from Essentials

Essentials is a strong fit for smaller, lower-risk websites. But once your website becomes more important to your business, the gaps between Essentials and Professional start to matter.
